Established in 1998, Namaste Comfort Fund
is an independent, charitable [501(c)(3)] organization dedicated
to enhancing quality of life for people with end-stage illness
and without the resources to meet their needs.
Sometimes
we help by connecting people with community programs and
services. When other sources of help are not available,
the Fund provides direct assistance. In every case, Namaste
Comfort Fund’s commitment is to meet needs, honor
hopes, and fulfill dreams. Here are some of the ways Namaste
Comfort Fund has helped:
- Provided “Louise” with a prepaid
phone card so she could keep in touch with her out-of-state
children
- Delivered a specially requested steak
and bacon picnic to “Joe” at his nursing home
- Paid the electric bill for “Tyler,”
whose rare condition required a cool environment
- Purchased an oxygen concentrator so “Maria”
could return to her home country to die surrounded by
her family
- Honored “Reggie” with a party
celebrating his life and accomplishments
Educational Mission and Other Programs
In addition to our direct assistance program, Namaste
Comfort Fund is also committed to providing professional
and community education around end-of-life issues. The Fund
offers periodic educational events to the Metro Denver community
and also occasionally sponsors such events or efforts developed
by outside organizations.
The Fund does not, however, offer individual scholarships
for educational experiences not developed by the Fund. The
Fund also does not sponsor outside fundraising events; we
may, however, partner with other organizations with a compatible
mission in joint fundraising efforts. |
